Falling in Love with Makeup: Products that are Actually Worth your Buck

I love doing my makeup, trying new makeup techniques, and trying new makeup products. Though that last part is true, I haven’t always tried new trending makeup products… until recently. And, WOW, you b!tches were right, idk why I didn’t listen earlier.
I remember I’d always sample expensive foundations from Sephora because a b!tch couldn’t fathom spending over $40 on foundation or any makeup product. However, now is that f*cking time to buy whatever tf I want because I can do whatever I want with my money. LOL wow I guess lowkey traumatized from being younger and being unable to buy expensive, nice things. Or always just having my father in my ear saying sh*t like, “you don’t need the expensive stuff, there’s no reason for the brand stuff, save your money”. I’m gagging that I ever listened to a man because the way my makeup elevated is wild as f*ck. Don’t get me wrong, there are a huge handful of drugstore makeup brands that actually exceed high end makeup, that I use all the time, but I wanna focus on higher end products right now.
Now I’m going to tell you makeup products that are definitely worth your coin, so let’s f*cking get it:
1. Estee Lauder - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation - $52
This is everything and for good reason, I now f*cking get it. It took me a long ass time to cave and when I tell you I wish I had done it sooner, I mean that with my whole ass chest. The formula, wearability, longevity of wear, and blendability are phenomenal.
It is a buildable, full coverage foundation without feeling heavy. As an oily girl, I seek light-weight, but buildable full coverage foundations and this is the one. I can wear it for 8+ hours with only one or two touch ups.
The only downside is that you have to buy your own pump ($13) — you don’t want to risk your foundation oxidizing! Or risk accidentally pouring out too much of your precious, expensive foundation. But, trust, when I say get the pump.
This is truly an airbrushed look. Whenever I wear this foundation, I just feel like that b!tch. It is so full coverage, and gives you Hollywood glam, but effortlessly.
If set properly, it is so beautiful. It truly gives you that bright, seamless undereye. LOVE HER!
4. One Size - On 'Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray - $32
THIS ONE. THIS ONE RIGHT HERE. Patrick Starr did his thing for us oily girlies. I didn’t know I needed something so much. My friend put me on and I am still STUNNED, like that sh*t really holds you tf together. If you have oily skin, TRUST ME when I say this sh*t is worth your money. I have had far less touch ups; one time I wore my makeup over 12 hours and only touched up twice, so, that’s pretty f*cking good (beforehand, I was touching up every 4 hours).
5. Fenty Beauty - Invisimatte Instant Setting + Blotting Powder - $37
This stays in my purse at ALL times, it is literally always with me. It’s the perfect setting powder, finishing powder, & touch up powder. It doesn’t make you cakey and it truly makes it look like you are a filter. LOL does that make sense, like “b!tch, what filter? That’s just my face”. GREAT buy - I use it everyday and I'm not even being dramatic when I say that. Rihanna can take all of my money, but I think we already knew that.

Whether you’re starting your makeup journey or well into it, I still encourage you to research your makeup before buying it. I obviously think these are huge game changers in makeup, but that may only apply to me - what may work for me, may not always work for other people. Just a gentle reminder.
With that said, these makeup products are huge game changers (LMFAOOO) and the main things that have changed my makeup wear and makeup game. I be so shook when I do my makeup, like that’s ME, b!tch, and I get so excited. The best way to improve your own makeup skills is to practice and not be afraid of possible failure. Sometimes all you need to do is train your muscles (your makeup skills). It gets so much easier, you just have to continue practicing fr.
