From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free: essential information for informed discussions

@graffiti.from.palestine

Israeli forces began airstrikes and ground operations throughout Gaza on October 7, 2023. Since then, Israeli forces have inflicted harm, death, destruction, and displacement throughout Gaza, killing over 28,000 people.

With hospitals destroyed and restricted aid, Palestinians are at risk of disease and famine. They are being forced to live in inhumane conditions.

We urge you to amplify your voices and not turn a blind eye to what is happening. With Rafah (Israel’s designated “safe zone”) being bombed, destroyed infrastructures, and resources even more limited, we urge you to call for a cease-fire and humanitarian access in Gaza now.

We want you to continue to read and watch the atrocities that are being committed onto Palestinians by Israeli forces. Please do not look away – Palestinians are forced to live this reality, and this cannot be overlooked solely because it’s not your own reality. This is reality and they deserve to be heard and supported. At the end of the day, this is a humanitarian crisis. Palestinians deserve to live.

These tactics have been used in the past. Genocides have been witnessed from start to end. Yet, there’s another one happening right now, in plain sight. Jenan Matari said it best herself, “we don’t learn or progress, we simply recycle contempt. Finding new ways to be complicit as we watch old tactics used on new people” (Matari, 2023).

It is time to be the ones who stand for change. The ones who are urging for change. With social media readily available, it’s time to utilize these platforms to amplify Palestinian voices and urge Congress to call a cease-fire and humanitarian access.

We will continue to stand on the side of the oppressed, to stand for what’s right. We will continue to be advocates for human rights. Free Palestine.
